About

Hi, my name is Stacey and I am the creator and editor of Girls Gone Gadget. I am fortunate enough to work from my home which means I can stay home with my two girls while making a little money. That also means that I get to work in my pajamas on those rainy or cold days!

I have been married for 7 years to an audio engineer and technology geek (one in the same) and that is just what he does in his “free time”. His day job consists of designing sound, video, and lighting systems for performance spaces. So, by default, technology and gadgets have become a constant fixture in our ever-changing lives.

Girls Gone Gadget has been a work in the making for quite some time. I first realized how gadget savvy this next generation would be when my toddler daughter was navigating around websites on my computer long before she could even ride a bike. The very first time she picked up my iPhone she was able to “unlock” it, check the weather, check the weather in Alaska (where her aunt and uncle live), and take a picture.

With computers, digital cameras, gaming systems, and even toys, gadgets and technology have enveloped our everyday life. I created Girls Gone Gadget to help you, as parents, understand what kind of gadgets are out there, how they can make parenting easier, more productive, and fun, and which gadgets to avoid.
